A QR code (Quick Response) is a square image that can be scanned by an imaging device such as a camera or a camera phone. If you have a Smartphone you can install an app with a QR-code scanner that can read a displayed code and convert it to a web address. This will then direct your phones browser to the website of a company, store, or product associated with that code providing specific information.
We use the code a little differently to how the codes normally work. We’ll generate the code that’s unique to your order which will appear on your phone once you've followed the link. You’ll then be able to scan the code in to our system when you arrive at the store to trigger a colleague to collect your order for you. Please don’t delete the code.
How do Asda use this code?
The Click & Collect team will be trialling a combined scheme (Direct & Home Shopping) in the York store for a period of 8 weeks from Monday 15th April.
If your store has a collection point or drive-thru, you can click on the link in your email to create your QR code which you can scan at the collection point or enter your order number.
The QR code will be sent to you in a link that will be attached to your Ready to Collect email that Asda will send to you. Just click the link to get your code.
